What is a Truma CP Plus?

The Truma CP Plus is a digital control panel that can connect multiple Truma appliances to one control point.

How does the CP Plus connectivity work?

A Truma CP Plus network first starts with the range of Truma heating appliances. This is because in Germany, heating is the most important consideration when travelling - due to the colder climates.

By starting with one of the heating system and building out from there, you can then add in other Truma products such as an air conditioner and a hot water system.

One Truma CP Plus can then control multiple appliances.

So what is the benefit in linking all of these systems together?

By linking up a Truma heating system and Truma air conditioning system through the Truma CP Plus the appliances 'talk' to each other.

Using the Automatic Climate Control (ACC) function, you could set the room temperature to 20°C and when the temperature gets above this, the air conditioner will activate to lower the temperature to 20°C. Likewise, if the temperature drops below this, the heating system will activate and heat the space up to the nominated 20°C temperature.

Just like your smart home heating and cooling system, Truma brings you all the comforts of home while you are on the move.

Appliances can be linked together as follows.

-----------------------------------------------------

You DO NOT have to purchase a Truma CP Plus separately...

-ONE-
If you have or are planning to purchase a Truma Combi 2E, 4E or D6

  • Truma Combi units are BOTH a water system (Boiler - 10L) and a heating system
  • ALL Truma Combi units come standard with a Truma CP Plus
  • ALL Truma Combi's can connect to ONE Truma air conditioning system

Smart climate control technology:

By linking up a Truma Heating System and Truma Air conditioning System through the Truma CP Plus the appliances 'talk' to each other, so you could set the room temperature to 20°C, when the temperature gets above this, the air conditioner will activate to lower the temperature to 20°C, likewise if the temperature drops below this the Truma Combi will activate and heat the space up to the nominated 20°C temperature.

-TWO-
If you have or are planning to purchase a Truma VarioHeat or Truma VarioHeat with Truma E-Kit

  • The Truma VarioHeat is a heating system ONLY
  • The Truma VarioHeat comes standard with a Truma CP Plus
  • The Truma VarioHeat can also have the additional E-Kit installed - This is an electrical heating add on and can also be controlled through the Truma CP Plus
  • The Truma VarioHeat can connect to the Truma AquaGo water system
  • The Truma VarioHeat can connect to ONE Truma Air conditioning System

-----------------------------------------------------

You DO have to purchase a Truma CP Plus separately if...

-ONE-
You would like to connect a Truma Air Conditioning System and Hot Water System to be used via one wall mounted digital interface

  • The Truma AquaGo is a hybrid “on demand” water system that is supplied with a wall mounted control dial.
  • All Truma air conditioning systems all come standard with a remote control.
  • You would need to purchase the Truma CP Plus as an additional product if you would like to control both appliances (the Truma AquaGo and one of the Truma air conditioning units) through one wall mounted digital control panel.

-TWO-
You have a Truma Air Conditioner but would prefer to use a CP Plus

  • The Truma Air conditioning Systems all come standard with a remote control.
  • You would need to purchase the Truma CP Plus as an additional product if you would like to control the Truma Air conditioning system through a wall mounted digital control panel.

Note: You can use the appliance’s remote AND the Truma CP Plus together. HOWEVER, if you change the temperature settings of the air conditioner on the CP Plus, those changes are not reflected on the remote control. If you change the temperature settings on the remote control, the CP Plus will adjust to the new settings.

-THREE-
You have a Truma AquaGo and would prefer to use the Digital CP Plus

  • The Truma AquaGo is a hybrid “on demand” water system that is supplied with a wall mounted control dial.
  • You would need to purchase the Truma CP Plus as an additional product if you would like to control the Truma AquaGo through one wall mounted digital control panel.
  • The benefits of replacing the control dial with the digital CP Plus include
    • Variable water temperature control: 39°C - 49°C
    • Easy diagnostic of warning and error codes
    • Future expansion for networking with other Truma appliances
  • NOTE: The Truma CP Plus replaces the analogue wall mounted control dial supplied with the Truma AquaGo.

What Truma products DO NOT work with a Truma CP Plus?

The Truma UltraRapid

The Truma UltraRapid is a 14L water storage system that is available in two models: Gas + Electric (240v) or Gas only.

Unfortunately, it is not able to be controlled via the Truma CP Plus.

The Truma UltraRapid comes with its own control switch for operating the gas side of the unit.

If you have a Gas + Electric model, you can turn the 240v electrical element on and off using the standard 240v wall outlet, most likely installed near the hot water unit.

The 240v element automatically turns the element on and off in order to reheat the water in the tank. Remember, you MUST ALWAYS have water in the tank if the element is turned on.

Consult your vehicle’s instructions on how to operate this side of the appliance, as different vehicle models have different wiring circuits, and additional switches for various appliances may be installed.
